After Lindstrøm's I FEEL SPACE (Play 109) high time for another cosmic disco at Playhouse. Besides Prins Thomas and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, Mr. TODD TERJE ist the definitive specialist for this kind of sound. Above all for his brilliant edits and remixes of classic disco-, pop- and housetunes, this 26 years old norwegian guy was swamped with enthusiastic reviews and praises from all over the world. Obviously we're glad, that Todd put his hands on SIMON BAKER's PLASTIK, one of Playhouse most massive hits from last year. And all highest expectations won't disappointed: TODD TERJE tinkered a highly elegant grooving summer-track for the outdoor-season 2008 out of SIMON BAKER's last year anthem: First of all, he pitched down PLASTIK bit by bit for his TÜRKATECH remix, but than he embellishes the reduced groove of the original with loads of percussions to give his remix the specific staggering deepness, which makes TODD TERJE's productions so unique. But at the end, after six minutes he takes the cake, when the remix changes over into traditional turkish sounds which eclipse the jolly discobeat for a while, before turning PLASTIK's TÜRKTECH remix into a rabid soundtrip, chasing it's own tail until this tracks ends.
